Actually. The information (not as official looking as a press release) was given to us in the SILO forums on monday. It is good news though. I can’t wait to get it. I’m not really impressed with the topology brush, but I was getting it before the topology brush was demoed anyway.

I think, at least for me, the topology brush will be good for clothes. Doing pants, shirts, gloves, etc… is going to be a piece of cake now that this is tool is available. Although it’s not hard to model shirts, pants etc, this will make it easier than having to start from scratch.

If no one has looked at Modo (Also on the Mac too), I’d say that was looking pretty good. The morph targets look to be a great tool for animation, IMO. I like the sketch brush too.

That was the one use I could see about the topo brush, and it may actually become an indispensable tool just for that reason. Cloth.

Yes, Modo is also looking pretty impressive.
I wonder when will it be out and the cost?

I also like this about Silo:

  1. “A single Silo license allows an individual to use Silo on up to THREE computers, which can be any COMBINATION of Macs and PCs.”

  2. “Future versions of Silo will be released simultaneously on Mac and PC.”

Cool!!!

I have downloaded the Mac version yesterday and tried it out (demo mode). It is a very nice modeler particularly considering its price tag of just $109. I just made a small box model and have still have to see most of its features.

Cheers

It is very nice. Nevercenter put a lot of effort into the Mac version.
I appreciate their commitment to the Mac community.
A definite plus for your 3D tools needs.
