sideshow's Magneto and colossus legendary scale busts

So this is the Magneto and colossus legendary scale bust that I sculpted last year, I sculpted the whole thing in Zbrush 3.1, it then got 3d printed and was painted (not by me) this is the final products.
I was art directed once again by Adam Ross and sideshow collectible .

Beyond everything:D looks GREAT!!!
gr. Silberdenar

Love them!!! cheers.

These look nothing short of awesome.

Can I ask, in the Magneto one, I take it the helmet was a separate subtool to the head. When you did this did you have to make sure the geometry intersected completely?

Excellent work.

awesome!!!

Very cool David! Thats going to be awesome having those two giant heads sitting on your desk.

Mortel ce Colossus !:+1:

nice works ! magneto is great !

Great stuff! :+1:

 Fantastic! I can feel the power hidden in those bust!
Magneto!!! Oh, I feel my glass is being twisted!

ive seen those but didnt know that you did it David!

Great work!!

Cheers!

Hey man, nice work! Can you please explain how you mike the Magneto tillable texture ?

Outstanding work!!!
Beautiful.
Thanks for posting the head down Magneto, too…amazing how just changing head positions changes the whole mood of the piece.

Life sized? Were these CNC milled?

Very cool.

beautiful stuff, as always

Silberdenar Thanks so much!

mutte696 Thanks!

Gordon Robb Thanks! Yes the Helmet was a separate object (I made a very simple basemesh in 3ds max) then all the details were done in Zbrush! not all the geometry was intersected but a good part of it! the helmet was printed separately!

marianosteiner Thanks!

Thanks Greg! yes I can’t wait to get those babies and the dio

Merci Guillaume!

Thanks majid!

Santis Thanks!

darkmummy Thanks so much! but he can’t twist glass or plastic only metal!

Thanks so much Raf!

pimeto Thanks! for the texture it wasn’t hard since it was just in the front that I needed it! I just found some carbon fiber textile on the net made it tile in photoshop and then made a bigger tiled texture in photoshop and applied it. you can also do uv’s and use a tilable texture and then mask by opacity and inflat in deformation!

jmenna Thanks! Yes the head does a really big change in the mood and the way the shadows falls on his face would have made him look very different! This piece was 3d printed with a high resolution printer but Adam Ross would know more about this part! it’s half size 1:2

vikramvr Thanks so much!

How can I mistaken the super power of Magneto? I mean the glass frame…sorry for not express accurately.:frowning:

Love them! Wanna one of each!

Very cool David, Magneto is my favorite, but they are both great!
Can’t wait to see what is going to be your next one…

So if the helmet was printed separately did you have to do much to the head to get the helen on after printing?
