shortcuts of Transform palette, stroke, ... [Answered]

Hi everyone!

I’ve seen a lot of tutorials about zbrush and every time the person pops up the transform palette, stroke palette (not the stroke behind the brush!), ect. on the canvas. That is pretty cool beacause it’s faster than going up to the palette, open it up and change the symmetry or whatever. The only problem? They never say what the shortcuts are, neither the zbrush official manual. They are not F1 F2 F3… so what are they? : p

Maybe they are custom shortcuts but what key do they use? I don’t want to mess up with zbrush shortcuts as i did in the past!
So, what do you use?

Thank you!

spacebar by default pulls up…well, pretty much the entire interface. Is that what you’re looking for?

The default hotkeys are here: http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/keyboard-shortcuts/shortcuts-by-category/

You’ll see at the top of the page, some of the F keys will work for the palettes but note that these only work on Win, not MacOSX.

You can assign a hotkey of your choice to any palette; it will then pop-up at the cursor when you press the key. To do it:

  1. Move the palette to one of the trays on the right or left of the interface - that way it will stay open while you assign the hotkey.
  2. Ctrl+Alt+click on the name of the palette, then press the hotkey of your choice.
  3. Store the hotkeys by pressing Preferences>Hotkeys>Store.

Ok guys so there are no shortcuts for those pannel (F1,2,3… or SHIFT F1,2,3…) don’t bring the palettes I want.

So can I ask you what shortcuts do you use to pop ups some palettes? As I said I don’t want to overwrite some shortcuts those would already be taken, and it’s pretty cool to know what shortcuts are using by the community

thanks!
