Severe Pixilation When Zoomed In

Severe Pixilation When Zoomed In
I am following along with the Zbrush / Maya Integration tutorial by Digital Tutors. When I am zoomed in to begin sculpting finer details on say the face of my model i’m getting a much more severe pixilation than Kyle is getting with his zoom. I have followed along the model from the same image planes that are supplied with the bundle and the export has seemed to be working fine besides this problem.

Here is a screen shot to show the pixilation.

The pixilation only gets worse as I get closer. So doing any fine detail work is impossible.

Thanks guys,

There are two types of “zooming” in ZB. The “Zoom” control thats on the right toolbar, and the “scale” control thats further down. The “Zoom” control zooms the pixels of the image plane, and is resolution dependent, so if your image plane is only 900 rez or so, and you zoom in too close, it will be pixelated, like scaling an image too large in photoshop.

“Scaling” an object (the control towards the bottom of the right toolbar or Alt-release-Drag) increases an active object mesh’s size independently of the image plane, and lets you zoom in on a mesh without becoming pixelated.

Thanks a ton for the insight worked like a charm!
