I’m kinda new to ZBrush. This is a problem that I couldn’t get a clear answer to for quite sometime. Everytime I try to set my custom UI many things don’t stay permanent. Specifically I am trying to dock the Total Points Count menu. I’ve tried placing it in a user created menu. I tried Store Config and Save UI, but when I restart ZBrush its always gone. How do I make them stick?
These are unique buttons that change their ‘name’ when selecting 3D tools. To store these files in custom UI you need to do this at the start of a ZBrush session ( before selecting any 3D tool )…
Launch ZBrush.
At the splash screen do not select any of the 3D tools, press Esc key and you’ll be at the ZBrush UI.
Activate UI customization and drag the buttons to where you want them to be.
Save the new config.
So you can only position elements like Total Points count before any 3DTool has been selected? And even initializing ZBrush makes no difference, I notice - it has to be done immediately after starting. Bother.
