Setting Default File Path

How do I change the default file path to get ZB to point to my current project folders?

This is such a basic question I`m embarrassed to ask, but all my searching in the docs and forum came to nothing so here I am, asking noob Q No. 1!

Even if I save a document file, when I restart Z-B and try to reload that doc I am taken to Z-B`s docs folder, not my last used file path.

Laugh as much as you like, but any advice will be gratefully appreciated.

Turn off Preferences>Misc>Use ZFolders. This will tell ZBrush to go to the last folder accessed rather than the default ZTools/ZMaterials/etc. folders.

Another option is to use your OS to create a shortcut to the project folder, and then put that shortcut in your ZFolders. Then when you click one of the Load buttons you’ll see the project shortcuts and can click on the one you want to get to that folder.

Thanks, Aurick!

Z-Folders is already turned off, so I suppose I`ll have to go for plan B: the shortcuts.

Dito.

Seems to be specific for the tool-import folder. Always opens in ZImportExport after restarting ZBrush. Little bug, probably.

There’s many bugs going on in Zbrush, Import - Export wise.

Sometimes this keeps me away from the app because of the faulty behaviour behind zbrush.

The shortcut procedure works a charm, guys! Hats off to Aurick for such a prompt and effective response.

Freewaldo, the next version of Z-B will surely have many of the quirks ironed out, so hang in there, eh!

All the best,

awesome, thanks!
