Select next/previous tool by Hotkey?

Title says it all - is there a way to quickly select the next/prev tool currently loaded in session? Need to quickly scroll back and forth between these without having to open the normal dialogue boxes or remembering the particular thumbnail position in the top subpalette.

Do not confuse this topic with subtools please.

You can do it with a simple plugin.

ScrollTools.zip (1.8 KB)

  1. Unzip and put the ScrollTools.zsc file in the ZBrush 2021\Zstartup\ZPlugs64 folder and restart ZBrush.
  2. Two new buttons will be in the Zplugin>Misc Utilities sub-palette: “<<Tool” and “Tool>>”. Assign a hotkey to each button if you want.

Note: this assumes that with only one new 3D Tool the slider at the top of the tool palette will show 48. So that’s the start of the cycle. Each button will loop between that and whatever the maximum is.

Marcus
