Select multiple subtools by clicking on them?

Hi

Would anybody be able to tell me if its possible to select multiple subtools by clicking on them in a similar way to how you can alt click on them? Im aware how you can select multiple from the tool panel, but if i have lots of subtools its not always easy to find them

many thanks
Nick

Don’t know a a way to do this for typical brush sculpting since brushes work on a single subtool. However if you want to do Gizmo related functions then turn on the Gizmo and activate the multiple subtool selection box (horizontal icon on upper right of Gizmo panel). It will turn into a three line icon. Gizmo actions and deformers will then work on all selected subtools. Ctrl-Shift click on subtools to toggle their selection individually. When not selected they will remain visible in a faint lined pattern.

Hi, thanks - yeah thats the kind of thing i was thinking of but for when in general sculpt mode

afaik you can’t “sculpt” on multiple subtools simulataneously. ONly Gizmo actions, including deformers work. So what was it you wanted to select multiple subtools for?

If it was to put stuff in folders then use the Gizmo method to select multiple subtools and then create a folder which will then contain all selected subtools.

thanks, yeah i guess the main reason i was thinking of using it for was to isolate a bunch of subtools to see only those in isolation from the rest (even though id only be able to edit 1)

thanks for the tips
