Seeking 3d Thumbnail solution...

Hi all!

I am looking for an application that will allow me to view .obj files in Explorer as a thumbnail…

I am even willing to not use explorer, and use some file viewer utility… I have thousands and thousands of obj files, and I have No idea what some are untill I open them in wings or Zbrush… this is verry time consumeing…

Heh! I just had an Idea! i wonder if someone could write a Zscript that would let the user input a Folder name , and then the Zscript goes about and looks in the folder and all the Subfolders under it for .OBJ files… when it finds the .OBJ file it loads it into Zbrush, and snaps off a snapshot for the X,y,and Z axis, and saves the bitmapped files to the folder with the .obj-filename-FOO-Xaxis.bmp … if there are BITmaped files in the folders, I can view with Explorer !

This would be a neat utility! i am going to go and post idea in script forum

wonder if someone already made this?

Hey polaris…check out Zlist. it still works…so far no troubles for me…a Pixolator script that allows you to save alphas, textures, tools (obj or ztl or whatever else zbrush imports) you can load em in, save em and create a catalog of thumbnails…I love this little program just for that!

I use the free version of mootools
