Hi, I am quite green to the 3D modellers world. I am starting a porcelain company to produce HIGHLY DETAILED tableware and Christmas ornaments, etc. The master model will need to have a rubber mold made over it to reproduce it in porcelain. Have a look at my website http://www.RubberMoldedCeramics.blogspot.com. I want to start with a punch / fruit bowl. It will be covered with flowers, leaves and twigs and classical ornamental borders.
The master model bowl needs to be separate from the base for individual casting and later assembly when casting in porcelain - so they need to register together (male / female). I might be going into too much detail to start. For now, I am trying to get a sense what it will cost to have this done in a 3D program vs. hand sculpted so I am seeking interested parties to help me better understand how things work in this world. My concern with 3D printouts is will I end up with a criss-cross surface that will reproduce in the rubber mold / porcelain cast. If so, how is that eliminated?
When you contact me I will send you some images of what I am looking to do so you can give me a price to do it. Once things get rolling, I will have more and more pieces to create. Someone who loves old world ornament and has a feel for it would be ideal. Thanks for contacting me!! My email is [email protected]
