Seams in tiling textures

When I create tiling textures I always get a black line across my textures. I’ve looked up many videos where everyone has the same issue, is there still no 100% fix? Right now all I see are people fixing it in Photoshop with selections/healing tools. None of these methods 100% fix it, they also had 10 or so minutes (depending on the texture) to the workflow. Just wondering if there is still a way around it? I know about turning shadows off in BPR but I’m just doing grab doc as I don’t want rendered textures.

I wrote a plugin to deal with this. It’s quite old but it should be OK in 4R7:
