Sculpting with mouse?

Just wanted to ask, will a mouse limit me greatly with sculpting?
I don’t own a tabled and would like to know if I really need it to enjoy zbrush for the fullest.

It won’t keep you from using the program, and theres quite a lot you can do ably with a mouse. But just like any paint program, you won’t get the most out of it if you arent using a tablet of some sort.

You can definitely work with a mouse. I’ve done stuff with it and felt comfortable but of course, it’s not as comfortable as using the tablet. More restricted.

the only illustration that i think that can illustrate this question…

mouse=jack hammer
wacom tablet= hammer with chisel

which one would you rather have sculpting?

although i worked with mouse for a while before getting a tablet so it can be done just a little more finicky then you would want to get strokes right and after a while you hand and wrist will start to hurt from repetitive movement…

but yes i would recommend a wacom tablet…

it takes some time to get used to but i promise once you adapt to the feel of it you will never go back to mouse…

but i hope that gives an idea of the difference between the two.
