Sculpting details for horns

I found a really cool pic of a balrog head and started to sculpt it.

I think I want to create some kind of custom alpha brush? Or maybe there’s better approach? I’m new to ZBrush, so I’m still figuring out how to use the tool. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Thanks!

PS: If folks want to see the link to the original reference image, I’ll gladly post it, but I was under the impression that any image links would prevent my post from being accepted.

Hi, the picture you don’t want to show on the main page bottom row you have to rename from ATT to ATN. You can do the horns in a number ow ways - I’d do the the vertical “sections” (perhaps it’s a spiral I really can’t tell  ) with a clay brush, and switch to standard brush zsub for the “trenches” between them and use the jiggly line alpha with freehand for the texture, or just pull them with a standard brush no alpha. Easy job. Good luck!

OK, thanks, for the idea!
