Scroll Document woes?

Hello all,

I have just activated 3.1 and started in but I am having difficulty with panning the canvas. If one holds down the spacebar one gets the mini-menu: great. If one clicks and holds down the spacebar the crosshairs to scroll/pan the canvas about appears (this is how we used to do it, no??). In my case, however, it does nothing, it simply continues to draw in zadd or zsub, etc. with the crosshairs visible. Is it just me, has something changed, or do I have a glitch?

I should mention that when I drag on the icon itself it works fine and if I map it to the spacebar as a hotkey it works fine.

There are some issues with hotkeys. These can generally be solved be assigning the hotkey as you mention. So assign the spacebar as a hotkey to the scroll button and store the hotkey before exiting ZBrush (Preferences>Hotkeys>Store). The quick menu will still be available for right-click.

Thank you for the confirmation, I got around it in no time thanks to the ease of assigning hotkeys and the right-click function but I wanted to make sure something fundamental wasn’t wrong with my particular installation and compter setup. You know how it goes…
