Screen Capture in Bootcamp

I am using ZBrush 3.1 in Windows and Bootcamp, but I cannot figure out how to take a screen shot in ZBrush. Does it make a difference if I am using a mac keyboard, would the keys be different to take a sceeenshot because I cannot get it to work!:confused:

I happen do dislike the mac keyboard (cause everyone else/ all other operating systems are using the standard keyboard and Apple thinks they’re just so special) so I don’t know much about it - except for how to take a screenshot with it in Mac OS, which I doubt works in Windows, which has its own PrintScrn feature. HOWEVER, I do happen to know that there is Screen Capture Freeware (Google Screen Capture Freeware, there’s lots.) Dl it, install it, and I think the way it works is when you are running an ap you want to take a screenshot and the screencap software is somwhere in the background, you can press a manually-designated button combination (i.e. shift+F1 or whatever else you prefer) to take a screenshot. Try it.:wink:

Thanks Magamorph. I remember someone saying you need to press 2 keys on the mac keyboard to capture the screen in Windows but I can’t remember what they were. If anyone know what they are please let me know!

  • Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
  • Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
  • Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
  • Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard
But, as I said, this will only work in Mac OSX. You gotta have a PrintScrn button on the keyboard to do it in Windows or anywhere else, sorry. Get the freeware or get Mac OS, I recommend the freeware.

PS. Or a new keyboard. They’re only like… 5 bucks.
