Science-fiction police dude

Hello guys,

This is a work in progress
Z-brush + photoshop. It tooks me around 6 hours to create this science-fi-police dude and around 1h on photoshop ATM, mixing differents Z render, adding the background, etc… He is my second fully hard-surface character and I’m really cheerfull to learn and experiment so much theses days

I worked a lots with edge-loops / polygroups / mask+inflate and did some cool rotopology on it to downscale poly count (9 m to 3 m polys, le poly army xd xd)

I really like him. Great work!

The hip area looks a bit too immobile though. It’d be hard to walk.

I really like the blue glowy stuff on his arms.

Very nice work! Look forward to more work.

Cheers, David

Awsome work, I really like the mood and colors, there are only 2 to change in my opinion

  1. he is a bit far so it looks like you are trying to hide things in the model,
I would put him closer to the windows and bring the camera closer.
  2. The lights seems off, I’m not an expert in light so I hope I would be able to explain,
There are those small lit areas of the floor that come from the windows, so the entire room
would be dark, but there is a very strong light on the character from the left yet the
right side of the room is dark if the light comes from the left side it should lit the right walls.
plus the light on the character is too bright, his helmet is half white.
Other than that it looks really good.
