Scared Silly Entry by Rémi Bouffort

Hi, here is my entry for this great contest.
My model is a werewolf (toon) who has lost his eye and keep it in his hand looking a little bit surprised.
I started this model with zsphere, and divide the adaptative skin 7 times
using projection master to make the texture.
The final render is 100% zbrush and I’ve make some light and color adjustements with the Gimp.
I’ll problably make another render with a different point of view.

Why not bend the eyeball around so that it’s looking at him? Both eyes can be surprised!

Cheers,

R

Thx for your comment, The eye direction could be a good thing I’ll probably do some attempts this way, for the moment here is the new step…

here is my last render, maybe I’ll make some few adjustements for the final render because the model is perhaps a little bit too small in this image…

It’s the final render with the ribbon modified and a resize model…

Ah that’s horrible ROFL, that poor little creature. Your Lighting and rendering looks really good.

My only crit is that maybe you could use the deformation > deflate function to skinny up the yech veins and stuff that the eyeball is hanging from.

you are right woody this nerve is just too smooth, i’m gonna make another version today perhaps i’ll add some other details and objects to the final composition.

A new render for my entry.
I replaced the Scissors by a chainsaw beacuse i find it more amazing in this case, seems like the creature only has a chainsaw to cut it’s eye.
The background has changed too and there is more lights on the scene.
The chainsaw basemesh is modeled in silo 2.0 and textured in zb, I add the wire view.
(I’ve made some post adjustements so I post 2 versions)

A little update with a new background and some new lights…

Haha, the chainsaw is funnier! But for some reason I found the scissors more disturbing.

The eyecord looks alot better, though I thnk some blue viens tracking up the nerve would be a nice edition, and not too hard to add.

Hi, thx for your comment, I find the scissors more disturbing too but I try to make the final render as funniest as possible so the chainsaw is better.
I made my final render with some color changes and I added some details onto some objects.
Here is the final picture…

I hope you like it.
happy zbrushing

Could you not push him off to the left a bit? The chain saw looks a bit crowded in this composition.

Is he using the optic nerve because he’s run out of ribbon?

R

Hi Rory_L thx for your comment
I think I’m gonna fill the left space with an object to harmonize the picture.
Concerning the ribbon it’s gonna be bloody so the creature would use it to heal his wounds

i’ve got this new render, looking for something to fill the left space
