Scared Silly Entry by Paul Hitchenson

Always loved the haloween gallery but being a student and this time of year being the time that i would realise that finals were approaching and the amount of beer drunk at our local did not actually count for course credit, i’ve usually had to sit on the sidelines and watch, thankfully course being over i can finally sink my teeth into some zbrush fun

–my idea--------------
I wanna do a pre-historic interpretation of haloween events, i wanna see what i can play with, how kids would make costumes, and what they would make them out of, what would be given as treats

This challenge is gonna be fun can’t wait to start

Wow, waiting to see ur entry in action…

Fantastic Idea! Can’t wait to se some funny cave person wips!

neet idea, very original.

Kind of a Halloween with the Flintstones. Neat idea :+1:

threetails, Harmonic, soulreaver thanks for the encouragement guys, Blaine, yeah i am being very delecate with the flinstones, cause it would be easy to lost and wind up making a flinstones homage,

ok had some free time today so i started some sketches and a lot of looking at references real and illustrated, spent alot of time laughing at Gray Larson caveman farsides i know this isn't caveman related but it is still awesome [http://johnfenzel.typepad.com/john_fenzels_blog/images/2007/03/24/jerks.jpg](http://johnfenzel.typepad.com/john_fenzels_blog/images/2007/03/24/jerks.jpg) and after all that i came up with this page of sketches, anywho tell us if any grab you. So ironic, Hitch. I actually toyed with the idea of cave-children trick or treating. But your skills will far exceed mine in this project. Gonna mark this a favorite so I can keep track of it.

Interesting. Keep it going.

ok started zsphere modelling, got some sketches of the composition of the scene that i will scan as soon as a i get the time, also did some zsphere modelling, have to say that i cant get the hands as good as sloshes out of the zphere model, had to do a bit of topology adjustments to get it how i wanted it, this is proving to be heaps of fun, doing lots of stuff in zb that i don’t usually do, like using the image plane reference subtool, that thing is cool, when i looked at the tutorial on the wiki i pretty much dismissed it but i thought i’d give it a go and i gotta say it works better than any other program, and its way easy to turn on and off, love discovering new stuff

Update on the body of my protagonist, the character is supposed to be at the age where she would rather be out at a party with her friends but she still has to look after her younger brothers, i still need to think of a costume that says ‘i don’t wanna be here’

I like it alot. IMO I think you should soften up the jaw line and chin a little to make it look a bit more feminine.

Style is great. I also love what u did with Zspheres. Clean and effective

Love the sketches, Hitch…I like #1 on top row, #2 in middle, and #3 & #4 on the bottom row…

I understand phinatix’s statement about feminizing her jawline, BUT as she is cro-magnon or neanderthal or something, it fits as is, IMO.
