Scared Silly Entry by Mark Stevens

Okies … back from a brief non-CGI sabbatical, and ready to play!

Kids around a campfire in a dark forest. One child has just appeared wrapped in toilet tissue to look like a mummy. He’s delighted at the disproportionate panic amongst his friends. What he can’t see, of course, is the enormous slavering beastie behind him.

Should be fun with proportions and lighting. Saw ‘Corpse Bride’ again last night, and I’m rather taken with the colour palette used in the film and the modelling. Think I’ll incorporate some elements of that in the pic. Ahh, it’s good to be back!

Later: hmmm … not kids … clowns! And the monster is FrankenBoffo … FrankenBoffo the Slightly Malevolent.

hehe ive got it infront of my eyes very nice idea

Great idea!but just to let you know Corpse Bride was not CG at all all those characters are dolls with micromechanics in them and the skin is like this special silicon, thats why it looks so good. I know this becuase i had to to a paper on it and research it.

hahaha, i love the idea! but thinking of horror-movies… what happens if they tell you, they didn`t use any cg or costums… or anythink like that…

just “real”?! yeah!

feels like attending a cosplay-event… but all monsters (exepct yourself) are the “REAL-DEAL”!!!

chem!

great concept, Moochie. I’m not sure what your edit meant, but I like the original idea very much. As for Corpse Bride not being CG, that’s okay. You simply want the same feeling in lights and materials. I get it. Myself, I can’t figure out whether to go cartoonish on mine (like Shrek or Monsters, Inc) or somewhat more realistic. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can pull of ultra-realistic, so it might have to be toony.

Anyway, love the concept as I said before.

I loved the Nightmare Before Christmas movie (also by Tim Burton). And corpse bride is a great style to try and emulate. :+1:

nice idea, this will look cool. can’t wait to see.

This should be great fun :+1:

Sounds like a really fun concept!:+1:

picturing it and hehehe … it is funy, good luck :+1:
