Scared Silly Entry by Charles Walsh

I just found out about “Scared Silly” two days ago. Wow cool prizes!

I’m not good at 2d drawing. So I’m going to explain it. “Mount Rushmore” with the “Classic Monsters” instead of the “President’s” with the “Invisible Man” posing in front of them for a Postcard that says “Wish I Was Here!”
I’ve never rendered anything before or retopo’d- So I don’t know if I can see this through in time, but I’ll try.

I started the head sculpts from polyspheres. They aren’t done yet. I haven’t turned off the symmetry on them. I will do so tomorrow and work on them further hopefully finishing a few of them by the end of tomorrow night. CC welcome.

Great concept. I recognize all of them except for #4, which I would assume is Dracula. Perhaps accentuate his widow’s peak a bit, maybe go for fangs.

Best of luck. :+1:

I changed my mind. I started work on a Alfred Hitchcock head. I made a Zsphere head as explained in the Zbrush 2 guide on page 263. It’s starting too look like him, but it still needs more work. His heads shape is very deceiving.

Hopefully I can get some pics up tomorrow. The concept is still up in the air, but it will be related to his work somehow. I have a few ideas. Time is running out :frowning:

great work.

really nice

I love the classic monster look to these sculpts. :+1:

Thanks for the compliments guys. I’m still attacking a Hitchcock theme. So those monsters up there wont be a part of my final attempt. I promised too post some stuff the other day. Hopefully I can do so tommorow.

really cool.

Aka, The Voodoo Monkey

I’m out.

Too much going on to get anywhere, and I still have so much too learn.
I was planing on having Hitch holding a gun on a Pumpkin. The pumpkin has a carved in scared expression on it’s face. It was making fun of National Lampoons “Buy this magazine or we’ll kill this Dog” bit.

Mine would say “Vote for Mr H. or the Pumpkin gets it”

I am very grateful for this challenge, because of all the step by step post showing how you guys make things. I learned lots of new tricks and methods from you guys. I will work on these monsters for something else later on down the road, maybe an ultimate Classics VS the Modern Monsters of film with Hitch as the referee.

Good luck to all. You guys are amazing.

Too bad. I was really looking forward to seeing this one finished.
