Scaling Problem...

I am looking for a way to fix a critical problem during my workflow in creating assets that need to stay in the same position/size as they were when imported.

At a certain point while working in Zbrush the model seems to move, I cannot determine the time it does it exactly. During some projects the model stays in the same positon and I dont have to worry about the problem.
But when it does scale/move it is a problem that cripples my production time and the model won’t always be exactly back in the same position as it originally was.

Here is an image showing the last time I ran into the problem.

In this project I imported the HighPoly did some work on the model, then I wanted to have the HP and LP lined up for baking. So I imported the lowpoly mesh and it was not aligned. I know I could just manually move it but that is cumbersome. We have found somewhat of a fix where we append the HP onto a subtool where we imported the original mesh and copy over the export numbers but that does not always work.

Do you all know what is causing this problem and how I may prevent it from happening again? This is especially important for my company I work for, where the human models need to stay to scale and in the same position for the entire workflow.

Cheers

your export options are changing.
Not sure what you’re doing to cause it.

You should start all models on “star” or any primitive asset (they all have a scale of 1 and 0,0,0 for their offsets)
Then make sure you add things to that. After that importing and exporting should always be consistent.

Hope that helps.
