scaling model with displacement map in maya?

Hi all,

Juste a little question :
I export my model from zbrush to may 7 with a displacement map for the hightest detail with mmdisplacement script.

In maya it’s very well, as i render the model… but if i scall it, i’m loosin all detail from displacement map. !!

It’s a stupid question…but how to maintain displacerment action with scalling model ???

You will have to give the displacement a stronger value, if you acale the model up x10 you have to give the displacement value a strength x10 stronger. For example if your model initially had a scale of 1,1,1 and your diplacement was say -1… 2 and then you scaled it up x10 your settings would look like this 10,10,10 and the displacent values would be -10…20, give it a try should work out for you…
