Saving project with full screen (Tab) document size can it be done?

I cant seem to save a project with a document size that goes beyond the the interface items that can be hidden with the Tab key. ?

I thought that a Zproject would open at the same document size as when it was saved.
It seems Like Zbrush wants to resize my project with in the interface.
I was wondering if this is how it functions?

I wanted my project to open at a “Full Screen” size with interface hidden, so I used the Tab key to hide the interface.

I then resized my document to fit the entire available screen, went back into edit mode and all is good.

My document that was 900 X 510, now was now was at 1244 X 600 and extended under my interface to the full width of my screen when I hit tab. So that I could now enlarge my model more and have more of it on screen.

I found that I could not save my project like this and open that file directly. Because if I opened that file with out having Zbrush running the document size would always go back to the 900 X 510 as if to fit with in the full showing interface.

The only way I was able to open the project with the larger document size was :
To already have Zbrush open with that larger document size ,
AND SURPRISINGLY I HAVE TO HIT TAB TO HIDE THE INTERFACE BEFORE OPENING THE PROJECT.

Does this sound normal, just wanted to check with thoes of you who have more ZB experience.
Would there be any way to have the project open at the larger document size, if I start Zbrush by directly clicking on the project.
I do have my start up document as the larger size but that does not solve the problem.

Thanks

After making the new desired document size, go to Document > Save As Startup Doc. This should save your size for the next time you open the software.

Thanks for the reply Bubz, I do have set my start up document at the full screen size.

As I mentioned above the only solution I found is:

Start up ZB with the full screen start up doc I need.

Hit the Tab key to hide my custom UI.

Then open the project that was saved with the larger size document.

Oddly If I don’t go through these steps the project will open with a document size that is sized to fit with in my custom UI.

In the Document palette there’s a button called “WSize”. I think this is causing the behaviour you’re seeing. The setting seems to be set on a per-project basis, so if you save a project with the button off the project will load at the size of canvas that you set. I don’t think you can store the setting with the configuration to be always off.

Marcus we worship the ground you walk on.

Thank you!

LOL! You’re welcome, Susan.
