Save DeepShadow off and RMB navigation problem with intuos pro problems

I have a set of personal preferences when I start a new scene. One of them is to disable Deep Shadow in the Render> Preview Shadows menu.
Unfortunately this setting does not seem to save, so I must set it each time I start working on a scene. Not a big thing, but perhaps there is an option I don’t yet know that does allow to save this.

Another problem, a bit more annoying is that when I switch the RMB Popup menu off and the RMB on, I can use this navigation - which I prefer - with the mouse but not with my Intuos Pro, neither when I add rightclick to my pen, nor to the tablet’s buttons. This may be a question for Wacom, but I prefer to ask it here to start with.

Thing is when you launch ZBrush and there’s nothing in Edit mode, there are no shadows, and normally lots less buttons showing. You can record a macro to change the settings. :wink:

Thanks for your reply.

When I would have added buttons or sliders from the Tools palette to my interface, and these were specific for, say, dynamesh, of course these would not be visible when there was nothing in dynamesh mode.

But this is not about a button showing or there being no shadows, but switching a setting in a panel off that is not stored for launch at setup. That switches itself back to on.

When for example I set to RMB navigation instead of RMB popup menu, it is remembered despite the fact that there is nothing to navigate at startup, or when I set the picker depth to ContinuousZ, it is also remembered, yet there is nothing to pick.

So your reasoning does not seem to work, or at least I don’t grasp what you mean.

You do have ZB4R6 P2? Preferences must be saved after being altered. How about LightBox, is that behaving as you wish?

Yes, that is the one I have.
Yes, of course I save. All other settings work.Lightbox behaves like it should, and is linked to the comma.

Thanks, but this is not the big problem. I can close DeepShadows every time I open ZBrush. The other problem - Wacom and ZBrush not working together as they should - is much more annoying.
