Samurai Sword Tutorial

I’ve added a new tutorial to my site on how to ZForge a Samurai Sword

If you have the demo version, you can still use this tutorial, you’ll just have to manually assemble the ZTools into a sword. I’ll be adding some more illustrations to the tutorial hopefully sometime this week.

 Hey CDE…Very nice looking sword & a great tutorial, easy to follow. Keep’em coming! Z’ya later… Mark.

CDEdwards: Thanks loads. I asked about this a while ago. I’ll give this a try and see what I can do with it.

On a technical note… this is a confused samurai sword. The kissaki (tip) curve should be on the other side. Samurai swords traditionally have round or oval tsubas (handguards). And the handle should be a bit longer. Can you tell I collect these things?

Hi CDEdwards!

Thanks for the great tutorial! It was very easy to follow and it’s a great introduction to merging objects.

Thanks everyone.

Greg, I was afraid someone would point out the flaws. Once you get the hang of it, you can show us the proper way to model a Samurai sword.

hey, your site is down btw, I cant access your tutorial.

I think CDE’s site has been down for some time… last I heard of him, he captured by some robotic creations of his, or something…
