Greetings BananaPunk-

Man this is realy cool looking. I am very new to Zbrush and would love to get up to speed on things such as this. I am wondering what software did u have to help get the Sculpt too this point. Was it ZBrush alone or didi you use Maya or 3dStudio Max or Light Wave, anywyas man you are an inspiration to me and my failed efforts, that will some day change in my favor. I am having a hard time understand what is what, and need some help. Are you using ZSpheres or is it taht you are sculpting in ZBrush from start to finish.

I have ZBrush 2.0 and Maya and I am not sure what to do at this point. I do know that I need to get up and running in ZBrush first then import the image in maya and do other things, but first things first - I need an understanding of ZBrush. I do know that I want to only Sculpt and use ZSpheres in the software, can you give me some advice.

Thanks,

Savnac

i bet my wacom that there was no zsphere involved.:sunglasses:

and btw - if this work doesnt get top row, top row means nothing.

couldn’t have said it better. outrageous piece of work!

This is outstanding! Top row! Your reel is really impressive as well. Any chance we could see a high res version of your reel? ASWJ

Superb Model…love the look and everythign about your model… :+1: :+1:

I missed this till now. Beautiful work! Beautifully modeled and great pose. I’m curious about how and why you used both ZBrush and Mudox. If you get the chance I would love to hear just how and why you used both . No matter what app you used this is great stuff.

i use zbrush because i’m used to it and i can predict results of smooth etc better. i use mudbox because of percpective.

thanks for kind words guys. So basically my workflow resembles what Zac Patroc did on his gnomon dvd. The only difference is that I incorporate Cyslice for making new topology. Zavnac: get this DVD and watch it again and again. The new ones are also great (cerature in production)- makes me consider going back to max for modeling- all the surfacing and edge tools in 1 package.

overall I’m trying to concentrate on the actual model instead of surface detail. I’m a bit bored with the detailing overkill I see a lot, everyone does monsters and old people nowadays…the thing is in production you dont do it all that much.

Impressive work. Great website too.

Mesmirizing work. I just cant belive what ppl here create!

this is some really great modeling! which DVD are you talking about?can you post a link? i’m looking through gnomon’s site but can’t find any zbrush titles by zac patroc, and i’d like to pick up another DVD after just finishing “intro to zbrush” by meat meier - very worth my money!

saw this at cgtalk!, really beautiful modeling.

i was surprised to see so few replies at cgtalk and i see same going on here. i guess the current trend is high frequency detail rather than actual form, weight and volume. anyways, excellent work.

btw, your website is great too. great music too, where is the music from if you can tell.

well that’s just sad! where’s a link to the cgtalk thread? i’ll give it a bump! this is outstanding work. the form is near perfect and there’s loads of detail if you look close. the topology is great. i’d love to see it “photo” rendered but i don’t know, it’s pretty evocative as is.
