I was able to run zbrush 2 off of a external hard drive and use it from computer to computer. I am not able to get zbrush3 to install completely on an external. I copied the folder from my c drive onto the external and am trying to run it on computers in my labs at school. It can not create certain files on the c drive can i change it to make the files on my external?
ZBrush cannot be moved from one computer to another via an external drive.
Instead, install ZBrush on each computer where you plan to use it. It can be activated on any two of them at once. So keep it activated on the one where you’ll be using it the most. For the other, simply deactivate it when you’re done (Zplugin>License>Deactivate License) and then reactivate it on whatever computer you’re going to use next. As long as you use the Activate Online option, you’ll be able to bounce from computer to computer as much as you’d like.
yea but the problem is i can not intsall programs on school computers that is why i use the external drive
