Row/Column masking an imported mesh?

I’m sure that thier’s other posts on this, but haven’t found them.

When importing an OBJ file, at what point can you mask with row/columns.

I imported the file, divided it up to 4x’s, made a unified skin, polymesh, and even made a z-tool and reloaded it. The option to do a row/column mask was never available.

Now, I know some are laughing yer asses of right now cause you have the secret, but someone needs to bust loose with it!!!

I’m going to start ripping my ears off if I don’t figure it out!!!

That only works on the parametric primitives e.g. sphere3d, which are defined in a way such that zbrush can do that sort of thing. So they’re unavailable to polymesh objects.

That’s correct. Row/Column/Grid masking require a uniform mesh structure. Imported meshes almost never have such a structure, so these forms of masking are simply not available to them – or any other polymesh object.
