How to Rotate,Move,Scale,Perspective - Alphas on Canvas to follow the 3d perspective on the image on the canvas?
TIA
Can you give a more specific example of what it is you want to do? I’m assuming the rotate controls in the alpha palette and general brush sizing controls are not what you’re talking about.
have you tried converting it to a stencil and using the coin’s controls?
Bingo_Jackson trying to follow the contour of the image on canvas here’s a pic that might explain

spaceboy412 I have tried making stencil from alpha palette and for some reason it makes the canvas a stencil. Might not be using stencil right but that is what it does when using alpa make stencil.
Ok, Im not sure whether youre trying to paint in 2.5 d mode, or edit a mesh, but you can do some of the same things in either.
When editing a mesh in 3d mode, the brush will always follow the contour of the mesh, as it projects out from point of contact. This will be evident if you try to sculpt on a sphere.
What you can also do, is set the brush stroke type (in the left shelf) to “Drag Rect”. This lets you “drag” an alpha shape out over the surface, and adjust the scale and rotation as you do so. (Note: Make sure the stroke type is actually in drag rect mode…there is a bug in 3.1 that sometimes makes the icon for the drag rect stroke type to show up in the box, when there is actually another stroke selected…if not sure, selecte another stroke type first, then go back to Drag Rect.)
IN 2.5d painting mode (exit “edit” mode), the stroke behavior varies with the type of brush you are using. There are some different 2.5d brush types that follow the contour of the Pixols (like the depth brush), others simply paint “straight on”. Some also let you “drag out” the size/rotation of alphas as well by default, but you can always change the stroke type for different effects as well.
You can also use the 2.5d brushes to paint displacement on a 3d mesh in edit mode, by using Projection Master.
I hope that is helpful.

Yep 2.5 mode on a canvas nothing in edit mode using the simple brush and/or dragrect or DragDot - didn’t mean to confuse Bingo_Jackson.
Ok the depth brush I’ll try that one .
Ok, then, just to be more specific, some of the brushes in 2.5D mode ( Like Bump, Depth, and Directional brush if you alter their stroke type and settings a bit, though Bump wont let you drag rotation, only scale) will make a mark based on the angle of your point of contact (good for planes), it wont follow the contour. So if you want the most realistic as possible results for a curved surface, it would be better to sculpt this detail into a 3d mesh first, then drop it o the 2.5 canvas for further painting.
