Rotate eyes side to side

I have created the eyes of my character as a subtool and would now like to rotate them side to side - I cannot think of anything other than splitting the subtool and rotating each eye separately. Is there a better method perhaps? so as to preserve the symmetry?

The eyes have to be one subtool, erase one of them, rotate the one that is left, then mirror the subtool using the zplugin subtoolmaster.

The Transpose line will rotate an object around the start of the line, so you can mask one eye while you rotate the other and then invert the masking to rotate the second eye. When you draw out the line you can click the white circle at the farthest end and the line will position itself in the center of the unmasked mesh. (Turn off Perspective and position the model so you’re looking straight down on it.) You’ll have to judge the rotation amount rather than having it exactly the same but that shouldn’t be too difficult. Use Transparent/GHost mode so you can see the eyes in their sockets.

Thanks for the tips, guys! :+1:

When I’m using the Mirror tool, I get eyes that are looking in different directions  and when I try and rotate eyes separately, I inevitably end up with highlights in different places on each eye which makes it very noticeable that one of the eyes is not in the right place. I guess there’s no way to position the eyes exactly by specifying the rotation angle like in Blender?
