Rogues Gallery

I have it in mind to do a number of Dickensian type caricatures, the type that may be found in the gin houses and back streets of old London, pick pockets and suchlike. Feel free to add your own rogue to this thread, i’m a noob and it would be great to see how other people would aproach the subject.
I started this fellow last night, still a wip, any feedback is always welcome.

Nice face details , excellent .

a more realistic aproach, next will try to find a balance between the two. Thanks for looking.

Very Nice! When I take a look at the first model, then the head should be a tick wider. I think that would make him look much better.

This is really good modeling! Keep going; interesting subject!

Did a quick colour sketch last night to try and get a better feel for things. I want to create exadurated features but also try to keep a sence of realism. Went too far with the chin area, but slowly getting there. Thanks for looking.rogue-colour.jpg

Oh this looks great!!! The hair is fantastic. I adore your hair skills.
Is it PS Hair or ZB Hair? I am not lucky with my hair attempts… I fear my models will remain bald forever sighhh.

Thanks Lemonnado the hair is photoshop hair done with the free David Nagel brushes, you can find them at the link below. I use photoshop elements 3 and they seem to work fine. Look for series 19 and 21, there are also some fantastic skin brushes.
Hope that helps.

I think this guy was tending bar at the last dinky little bar I visited in Kentucky.

You said you where doing funky rogues so I say leave the chin…I like it, gives him kind of a hawk like profile which is great for some old wild west mayor/banker/rancher/god who owned everything and let everyone know it kinda rogue!!

Still messing about with different aproaches, i’m getting closer to the sort of caricature i’m after. Its been a great way for me to start learning zbrush and although nothing i’ve done has been completed yet, i feel i’m slowly getting to grips with things. What a great App Zbrush is.

Great character! And I’m looking forward to see more of them

ma grazie per il link
