:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

the lion detail is awesome!

I love the lion and thanks for showing your WIP.

the last step in your animated lion pic is a cavity map right? is that how you got all your detail and brush strokes to show up so clearly? I am still learning zbrush so I want to make sure.

That lion would make a great door crest to scare away pesky solicitors.

How many subdivisions is that and how many polygons? looks amazing.

great lion head…Nice works well done :)

the Lion head is fantastic!

Very nice, Lion’s are so naturally impressive they make for great subjects to illustrate, love the flowing lines

It looks like the jaw is a little wide on the skull. In human skulls, the width of the jaw is usually about the same as the outer edge of the eye sockets-- it looks wider once the muscles, glands and fat are on top of it. Of course, the needs of design should always trump anatomical accuracy, so if this skull is designed for a certain character with an exceptionally wide jaw, then ignore this advice.

Great job on the lion piece, i find it especially interesting when its asymmetrically posed.

wow nice one top row for sure :):)

Your lion is great Carcaryas! So much details! Love it! :+1:
Franchement, bravo mon gars! Excellente sculpture! Du haut niveau là!

Top row lion man!:+1: :+1: :+1:

The golden version of the lion is great, too.
Looks really kingly. Frankly speaking – I can´t tell you which version is my favourite. They´re both beautiful.

Thanks for all of your comments
Moni-Poroni : thanks. Take your time to choose your favourite : gold or stone version, delivered under 48h
Drummer: thanks
sgrell: thanks too
Aberrant : in the gif animation, the last image is indeed rendered with active cavity map effect
lm : for sure ! thanks
maingon360:there are 7 subdvision levels, 928 quads on the low poly and about 3million quads on the high poly. thanks for your comment
DELTATHUND3R: thanks too
shmud: thanks
Kevin Johnstone:lions are for sure amazing. it was the first time I detailed one, and I really appreciate during the sculpture process to find some details looking like my previous dog (a golden retriever), amazingly. that’s why I gave the lion the same name as my dog, ringo. and thanks too!
jhesser: your comment is really usefull and you’re right, when you focus on a skull, you indeed have difficulty to see which proportions the face will have (with fat, muscles, etc) and we could quickly see the result by modelling a simple sphere on the skull to see that
Art-Machine:the posing function is a revolution in Zbrush 3. the lion pose is mainly inspired from the MGM mascot . thanks
agrmrs:thanks
Mind Symbion:merci beaucoup!
Sebcesoir: thanks a lot

Haha LOL well, in this case …ehmmmmm…
– is a cheap plastic version available, too ?

Hi Carcaryas! Awesome lion sculpt! Love the skull study as well! Keep goin’! :+1: !
