Rig moving incorrectly?

Hi guys, I’m quite new to Zbrush and this is my 1st model but i’m having issues with the rig moving terribly wrong

The problem is when I move the rig its a weird zig zag?

Any help would be appreciated Greatly! I’ve spent a very long time making this character for my game and I can’t even begin to fine tune it until I have the rig working, I basically just used ZSphere then bound a mesh and use adaptive Skin to get it where it is now but the weights / normals seem really really wrong and I have no idea how to correct this

your mesh is too dense. You need to use Zremesher, subD levels, and project all. Then apply your rig to your lowpoly mesh and deform that.
