Richard Yot Gallery

A selection of my recent works - sculpting done in Sculptris and/or Zbrush 4, scenes assembled, textured and lit in Modo, and rendering in either Modo or Maxwell.

My aim is to give my work a quirky hand-made look, and create interesting worlds for my characters to inhabit.

Really love your stuff! It needs to MOVE  would love to see someone do a short in your style. great job.

These are great Richard, amazing execution on the materials and beautiful lit.
I love the penguin - so cool.

Keep it up

lol, thats simply awesome stuff!
So nice to see something different here!
Keep them coming! :+1:

these are great! I also started learning Modo here not to long ago in hopes of taking my Z creations in there for rendering out scenes. Love to hear if you are using GoZ with Modo? And any tips on settings?

Jake

creepy and awesome.

LOVE IT!

Keep going this way! Just refine. I like the cut-out-paper feeling.

Moderators… take this to the TOP ROW! These are so genuine, so unique, so from the heart.

Love it!

very refreshing to see something different and unique in zbc.

Did i mention they are top notch works? wonderful style and excellent execution

Absolutely beautiful worx - really look forward to seeing more :+1: . Would be cool to see some wip shots/breakdown

Thanks for the replies, really pleased to see you all like it

@GrizzlyJake: GoZ doesn’t work with the latest version of Modo (501) just yet. Hopefully Pixologic will update the plugin soon, but in the meantime I use OBJ files to go between Modo and Zbrush and it works fine. Goz is a lot more convenient though.

@Ethcher, I can post some WIP shots when I get some time. The old man image is featured in a detailed tutorial in 3D Artist magazine (issue 24), and the cloth monsters will be featured in another tutorial in issue 27 which is due out next month - the sculpts for those were done in Sculptris rather than Zbrush though.

Amazing work. I didn’t realize what you meant by hand-made until I saw the renders. You must have really spent a great deal of work on these pieces, and it truly shows. I wish you all the best and I hope this comes in the top row
