Rhino 3D - Zbrush - Rhino3D - RhinoCAM

Hi I wanna know if I can made a basic design of a sole (a shoe part), with all the dimensions, form, and all in Rhino, and them work in Zbrush the 3d surface or 3d relief. Like the image that I send.

And export from ZB to Rhino, and work the file for the mold part. In RhinoCAM (this is a CAD/CAM program to work in a CNC machine).

Imagine that the sole that I show in the video is modeled in Rhino, and I wanna make the 3D texture in Zbrush…Can I do something like this??

PD: Is you cannot see well the video install this little codec

And please if you kwon where can I found a tutorial to make this please send me the link.

Yes, you can do this. ZBrush will internally scale the model on import, but will then reverse that upon export. So what you get out of ZBrush again will be exactly the same scale as what you brought in.

You tell me that I can do this…but can you tell me How???

Arnold

please help me!!!

I wanna work with Zbrush but I need to know if can I do this…AND HOW CAN I MAKE IT. I WANNA JUST CREATE 3D RELIEF IN Z BRUSH…BECAUSE ALL THE MODEL I WILL GOING TO MAKE IT IN RHINOCEROS.

HELP ME PLEASE…

…Import your file (format obj or dxf)
And you will can sculpt your 3D model as you want
At the end Menu Tool / Export it

ps Maybe you must learn a little bit how works Zbrush too

GO there and load the 3D Brush Demo (scroll) and some others

But how…??

Sorry for my stupid questions, but I am new in the Zbrush World…I manage very amateur…almost nothing

So the me the tools that I have to use…please…

I know how navigate and create some deformations, but not, 3d texture or 3d relief, please see this video:

Can I do something like this in Zbrush…and how??

Take care

Arnold

If you has shown the previous demo that I had done you see that a simple brush 3D of any form can make a volume add or Sub on an existing model 3D so you can modelize anything you want

one technic can be : make a “stencil” of your tread shoe part
Inflate your model through it = you will obtain the wished form

What!!

Can you explain with some pictures  or screenshots??

Please!!!

Take care.

Arnold
PD: Sorry for ask so many things…

When you wanna learn Rhino 4.0 or RhinoCAM let me know…

Hi !

I search more information about the texture that I wanna create:

http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/attachment.php?attachmentid=81354
(the textures of the shoe)

But reading more about Alphas and try in Zbrush, when I use the Alpha Toold my 3D grow up in Z…and I need that the texture have ALL THE SAME SEPARATION between AND THE SAME Z HEIGHT.

HOW CAN I DO THIS USING ALPHAS???

And how I save and load a Mask??

Take care

Arnold

…that?
And you can play with the Focal Shift size of the cursor…
and press shift for have straight lines of brushing and regulate the Z intensity as wishing!

…I almost cry…!!!

Hey men thanks thats want I looking for!!!

But I have some questions:

  1. How can you do in this case: Imagine that you are making this form with the alphas and everything, but you have to release the clic of the mouse to rotate and continue making the alpha with out the new brush dont came over the old brush? Do you understand what I mean? And maki this with the same continuity, because you need to create something uniform, around the shoe.

  2. Can you make a video sample of that part  I wanna see how you create “every part from the beggining to he end”…PLEASE…WHEN YOU WANNA LEARN RHINO JUST TELL ME  Please post it or send me to my email, please [email protected]

Well take care, and thanks for be patient.

Arnold

…to think of that
When you move a volume 3D in edit mode with Shift pressed this one can only move / rotate by step of 90° so no problem fo apply then something on a same “line” (a same turnable line along a volume)

You have also the stroke “DragDot” who permit to place one alpha on a precise pixel on a volume! So no problem of mouse clic!
Just use a “tiling Alpha”

Ps
For the Rhino, it’s not necessary, I am evangelist of Moment Of Inspiration

Try it maybe you will find it useful for some things with Rhino
(ergonomy, pre modeler (total copy/past object drag and fill moi --> rhino), export nurbs—> format obj ) :+1:
(the creator of Moi is also one of the creator of Rhino

Yes you right with the DragDot, is perfect to put an alpha in the precise location. I try with another alpha and work.

Is there a way to put an alpha in all the surface in the same time, like this:

www.3dm.cc/bajar/otros/texturas_3D.avi

Is you cannot see well the video install this little codec

www.3dm.cc/bajar/otros/tscc.exe

And please explain me how do you make the alpha of the shoe???

Take care.

Arnold

…something like that
Menu Tool Initialise & Display Properties
alpha.jpg

After that

Mask (inverse selection) of what you want on your volume, Apply the Alpha with brush 3D tracks1

  • Menu Brush / Wrap Mode= 6 , increase Menu Brush / Alpha tile if necessary

I got it…but!

Hey men thanks, but I have a problem, I make all the steps, and I save my alpha, but when I insert a tool (anyone the head, the dog, the rhino), and I load my alpha the grid stroke is disable WHY??

Because when I save the alpha the stoke was all right?? I have to create always the alpha with the grid 20x20??? Because the stroke dont work

Well take care

Thanks

Arnold

…brush 3D don’t permit some Grid Strokes so you must just Mrgbzgrabber one more time the previus “Grid Alpha”
so you will have a normal alpha 20*20 useful with the brush 3D in Edit mode

But seems that is not a good solution and make in one clic a 3D texture around a volume is not possible without deformation!
(above even the Wrape mode makes deformations on sides :frowning:
You must made that in 2 pass with an tiled alpha!

Or maybe also with the inflat function or with Stencil + Wrape

here in one pass is not good :frowning:
bug.jpg

So, I dont understand…I cannot make the form what I want???

I was so happy :frowning:

Well, take care

Arnold

…you can, but not as in Rhino with just one clic after selection an aera

You must make something like that
create your Alpha as previous
Select one “quarter” of your shoes, apply the Alpha
and make the same for the other parts
Zbrush is a painting prog

There is not a way to when I pass my firts brush (with alpha) and I pass my brush a second time, to not pass over my firts brush? This will make my time lower and I dont will going to have a diferents Z values.

Take care

Arnold
