Hello, everyone. I’m just getting in ZBrush and 3D progress less than 1 year. I’m a bit confused about start making model in ZBrush first before we retopology.
I don’t know why we need retopology(misght have many people ask this question I’m sorry). I start making my model in Zbrush first time, and after I finish sculpting in Zbrush at division 7. I transform file to 3d coat to retopology and get UV map. This is the point that I 'm stuck. When I import retology file to MAYA and import ZBRush file secondly into MAYA the same scene. Once I try to bake, a detail from high resolution doesn’t transform to my retology model that I make mesh count lower than in ZBrush.
Some of my friend told me if i need to start making model in ZBrush, I have to create a big shape of my character then send it to MAYA to tidy the UV after that transfer to ZBrush and start sculpting. Since we have UV map although you sculpt to high resolution, it still can bake because you already have UV. In this point makes me confused about Retopology; why we have retopology if we get base UV and UV after Sculpt?
