Retopology stuff

I m working o a model build in maya, i have import it in zbrush and sculpt it, i have done the scultp work and retopologize the model, but now i cant export the new topology to work in maya, when i import the file that i ve exported in zbrush i obtain a solid mesh but no a grid.

Hi @johiko!

I’m uncertain what you’re referring to here:

  1. If referring to the Floor Grid, this is just a projection made from within the program itself, and not an actual piece of geometry–unless you actually place a 3d polymesh grid there. Maya has a similar feature someplace I’m sure.

  2. If referring to the wireframe, or the lines that show the topology of your model, each program has a display mode that will show this, often in the viewport display options in other programs.

If you mean something else, please clarify.

tks for the answer, i m talking bout the wireframe of the obj, i thought that doing the topology on zbrush, i ll see that topology on maya and start to cleanind the topology, but i ve finish to retopology the foot in zbrush and i was about to clean up it in maya but i ve figured out that the retopo didnt change the mesh topolgy.
opening the obj that was retopologized in zbrush in maya didnt change the topology.

so right now i have a high poly obj instead of a low poly as the retopo was showing.
