Is anyone else experiencing problems in 4R8 p1 with the (default) keyboard shortcuts [ and ] to re-size the brush? They only seem to work once and that’s you’re lot.
Keyboard shortcut S - (draw size) seems unaffected.
Is this a known problem and can I fix it?
Go to your “ZBrush 4R8 > ZStartup > Hotkeys” folder and add the following 2 lines to your “StartupHotkeys.TXT” file at the end then save the file.
[ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :<<BRUSH,219] // [
[ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :BRUSH>>,221] // ]
If on a Mac, add the following lines instead.
[ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :<<BRUSH,91] // [
[ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :BRUSH>>,93] // ]
Thanks zber2, do you know if there’s a definitive list of keyboard changes affected in the upgrade from 4R7 to 4r8? Dam Standard was another one, I’ve a feeling there’s more 
DamStandard would be B > D > S
If you press B, that will bring up the brush palette. DamStandard starts with D so then you would press D to bring up all brushes that start with that letter. Once you’ve done that, you will see which is the next key to press in the upper left of the brush icon.
Here is an example of C brushes. Note the letter or number in upper left of icon.
I don’t think there is a list of keyboard changes. You can look in the “ZBrush_4R8_whats_new.PDF” in your Documentation folder to see if there is anything in there.
You mis-understand. I know how to get brushes via shortcuts:)

Above are the parts of shortcut text files. Resize brush keyboard shortcuts got moved to ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES and Dam Standard got respelled to DAMSTANDARD (no underscore) This way the existing shortcuts of 4R7 won’t work with 4R8. I was wondering if there are any more like this that have been moved, re-jiggled or respelled for version 8
