Here’s one the creatures from Resistance, figured since the game is out I can show some of this stuff. Even though it’s all a year and a half old now, might as well throw it out there.
Pretty cool… do you have it with color, norm and spec maps for comparison of ingame. I would like to see those along with a wireframe.
Very nice creature! The form and muscle struture it’s well sculpted. The only thing that confuses me, it’s the back legs. I think this character would have trouble running or jumping with that piece of skin atached to his back legs. Maybe the piece of skin stretches when he jumps or walks.
Very nice concept! By any chance do you have any concept drawing for this character? Would be nice to see some pencil sketches if you have some.

oh man, now we’ve gotta see more!! judging by this, i just know there’s going to be some great stuff coming from you. i’ve been wanting to play that game for a while now.
There are a few things in the muscles that doesn’t look very natural (believable).
And I feel that it could have more details.

i agree some nice work, i like the fact that its not completly detail filled, in my mind detailing everything can make it look to busy and you then have to detail the key elements further so that they can grab the viewers attention. do they split the modeling/texturing over there at insomniac?

looks cool, but the anatomy of the creature needs more work. but dont get me wrong I still really like it.
I will grab a few wireframes tonight so you guys can see how I laid out the mesh. The low is about 3000 quads and the high is probably a little shy of 2 mill. I think i was given 2 weeks and four days to do the low and high and texturing at that time was split up at Insomniac. I’m not there anymore but this division no longer exists there. Not a big fan of detail everywhere, I agree with zeke3d in that you want to draw the eye to key areas.
