Reset Zbrush to factory defaults

Hi ZB gurus!

Is there a way (apart from uninstall/reinstalling) to completely restore zbrush 4r8 to its vanilla default settings on Windows?
I don’t just mean restore default UI, I mean resetting everything to boxfresh.

I have a veird issue where after a little minor ui customization I can crash zbrush with ctrl button. I mean I put down a sphere, make it a polymesh3d, hit ctrl D to subdivide and it crashes. Not just that but literally a holding down ctrl for anything it crashes with “abnormal termination”. The customization is nothing crazy, I just put a few commonly used buttons to the top bar, and a few common brushes on the bottom bar.

I don’t know if this happened to anyone else but it would be great to know how to reset it so I can try to figure out what went wrong.

Preferences>Init ZBrush.

Hey dillster ,

Thanks, I know about initialize button but that wont restore zbrush completely. But I figured it out since so I leave it here for future reference if anyone is looking for the same thing.

If you close Zbrush and delete C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData folder and relaunch Zbrush it will recreate factory defaults.
