Reposting a thumbnail for getting attention

With the new update of the Zbrush-Central forum and the new “double” below row, i noticed that more and more people reposting the thumbnail of their current work again and again even if they are only replying to the comments, they recieved for there work, for example.

I wonder if this is a new way of craving for attention?

Don’t get me wrong, they are some really good works out there, they are worth to take a look at but i think it’s a bit unfair and annoying for the others, who try to post there works here too.
Sometimes i see a thumbnail every few days again and again but after clicking on it, it’s only the same pic i already saw a few days ago but no update. So WTF?
I know that the thumbnails starting at the upper left in the first below row with a new post and they are wandering to the second below row at the bottom right until the are completely out of the row. That’s not what im talking about. It’s this reposting thing of a thumbnail again and again without a new update, as i already mentioned above.

I hope you are understanding what i’m trying to say here.So what do you guys think about this thing of, let me call it, “getting attention” ?

It is as annoying as the users posting a lot of images of the same sculpt, in a five degree changed angled, white light, yellow light and all the available matcaps…

It can bother… yeah…

But it’s not wrong for an artist try to crave for attention…

The artists live from the applause…

@ISK-86: that’s true in some way. but the artist had his chance for getting attention with his new post of his new work and the thumbnail that appears in the row.
If he wants more attention he should post a real new update with new pics of his current work, but not only reposting a thumbnail that links to the same pic he posted days or weeks befor, or is only a simple reply to a comment he recieved.

At least zbc is not like deviantart… where everyone gives three lined comments to draw attention to their deviant page…

But getting involved with the community, helping others, and participating on the threads always give better attention than a 110x60 pixel image that stays in the bottom rows less than 24 hours with 65,431 threads, 581,931 posts, and 171,698 members craving for attention…

Yeah i noticed this quite a lot lately.
As long as its admins bumping threads its fine but
lately there is a lot of editing images without changing them or
replying to comments with a thumb attached coughcoughE.T.cough
but whatever in the end it doesnt really matter.
