replace a GoZ subtool with a new mesh.? how?

Hey,

I seem to keep getting a problem where my GoZ mesh seems to lose it’s size info. This seems to be if I’ve GoZ’d into maya and then changed the mesh in a way that means maya has created a new mesh. I get the pop up asking if I want to relink, or rename the mesh. but whatever option I choose it brings it back into Zbrush a million times bigger than it was. (possibly only 100 or 1000 times bigger) and also in a differnt position. It’s like it’s lost it’s scale / position offset info somehwere. How do I stop this from happening? i can see the position / scale offset.

I thought I’d sussed the whole scale issue with GoZ thing, but when an issue crops up like this, halfway through a task, I’m not sure how to get it back to the proper size. and whats strange is that once this has happend for 1 subtool, then all teh other subtools become knackered too. So where GoZ will have been working fine for hours and hours on multiple subtools, they all now transfer back into maya as being tiny. what’s causing this? it’s *******s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Hey,

So guys is there any way to relink a mesh from maya to an existing mesh in zbrush?
I click the relink button in GoZ but it just brings it in as a new mesh . which is what all the options seem to end up doing.
perhaps i’m going about this the wrong way but it’s quite important for my models to line up in maya and zbrush…

cheers
