Regrouping in Zbrush

Hi.

I may be forgeting things too often…
Can I regroup parts of Zbrush structure (branches), so that, when skinned, the resulting mesh could show changed groups, beautifully displayed in different colors?

You can show/hide parts of your mesh then use Tool>Polygroups>Group Visible to form new polygroups.

Keep in mind that you cannot change the grouping of a ZSphere model for the same reasons that you can’t use Edge Loops on it. You must first detach the model from the ZSpheres by skinning it. Then you can start doing whatever you want to the geometry and its groups.

Hi.
Thanks so much dear Aurick and Marcus.

You know the reason of my coloring the groups. It enables quickly changing the color of the areas of interest, keeping the object meshed.

Now, yes, I know how to regroup the meshed object. And I found out the Auto Groups function renders colors beautifully to the new groups, but reconstructs the colors as though seeing them otherwise.

I.e. after I have changed the colors of the group areas (Mark2Grp plugin) they will remain thus if I save them as *.ztl, but if in *.obj, activating the AutoGrp function changes the color, as if controlled by the primary (inner) zsphere grouping.

Here is an example of my coloring the groups. Mesh was produced in Zbrush 2 by zballs, then skinned.
