Reducing mesh size

Hello everyone,

so i made a complete mesh i was ready to upload it and 3d print it and then… i could only upload 100Mb and my .obj file is 160Mb. OK i thought quick fix i’ll lose some detail and go a division level lower. But then: reconstructing subdivision failed, mesh contains triangles.

Has anyone any idea how i can fix this?

sorry guys, i should learn how to use plugins more decently, found decimation master, problem solved :slight_smile:

You also might want to look at Zremesher to reduce the polycount in your working files.
