I started a model a while back that I’m progressively working on for my portfolio. A classic style sculpture showing mid struggle between Red Riding Hood and the wolf. one of the problems I’m currently having is the model not having enough tension. Part of it is the pose and part of it is that actual muscle tension.
Thats not the Red Riding Hood I remember from the tales…:eek:

I too did a “Little Red Riding Hood” in zbrush a while back. I had alot of fun with it.

Not sure if it’s your intention or not, but it currently looks like Red is loosing. She has a knife, but she still looks like she’s being overpowered by the wolf.

at the moment I’m currently switching up the pose. Its not quite logical that the knife is in the right hand tho the sheath is on the left thigh… and the Wolf is paying no attention to to knife… so it just doesn’t feel complete
Just thought I would do a quick repose… dun wanna work on it hardcore before I see that the pose isnt working. The hand will be over his snout pushing him away more. Would that make it look more like a kiss and not a bite? haha

I guess the pose depends on what you are trying to show. As dustin says, it looks like she’s losing the fight. Is she supposed to be giving as good as she’s getting? I think straightening her right arm and literally shoving his snout/face away could help. Also maybe her using his leg or torso as some kind of leverage a bit like you have in the first pose. Basically him pulling and her pushing away. I think I prefer the wolf’s hand around her head though. Might be worth checking out some old sculptures of fighting if you are going for that look. I like where this is going and think it has a lot of potential. Looking forward to more 
you could have the wolf holding her up by her hair eventually too, and if shes giving as good as she is getting, id make that dagger stuck into the wolf, like under his chin through his jaw.
Its your interpretation on the theme though…i get a kinda of forced sexuality from it, id make the wolf an erect phallus, but im sick that way

I think She should be pushing away from his nose/snout while he’s trying to force her head into his mouth
well yeah I’m not trying to have any focus on sexuality… which is a bit hard considering that shes a young girl and wearing a skimpy outfit haha but either way there will be a history of more of a fight on them such as scars and cuts. I probably should have her plunge the knife in him being that he can take it more than she can… hmmm or vice versa…

Thank you Am3D! def wanted to stray away from the regular Red Riding hood. Here is the next tweak. Shes a bit more helpless in this one… The knife would be in her Left hand which she is being held up by. But The wolf would have cuts and slashes on his face.[
