Recovering a Transpose Master tool from a crash [Answered]

Hey guys,

So I’ve just spent hours posing a character using the Transpose Master plugin, but when I was finished and clicked to send the TPose mesh back into Subtools, Zbrush crashed on me. I saved the project right before it crashed, however, when I open the file again, it wont let me break up the TPose mesh back into subtools. When I click on “TPose > SubT” it gives me the “Lode a TPose from Disc” message, as if the tool I have selected is no longer a Transpose Master tool.

Is there any workaround to this, or any way I can break my newly posed single mesh back up into it’s subtools? The thing that sucks the most, obviously, is that I can’t reproject all of my hi-res detail from the original mesh anymore.

Thanks for any help.

  1. Load the project with the posed mesh.
  2. Select the posed mesh in the Tool palette and export it. Make sure you export as a GoZ file type (choose ‘complete binary’).
  3. Select the original model with its subtools.
  4. Press the Transpose Master TPoseMesh button to create a new combined mesh.
  5. With the combined mesh selected, import the GoZ file that you exported at (2).
  6. Press the Tpose>SubT button to transfer the pose.

HTH,

Hey Marcus, thank you for the reply!

When I get to step 6 and press Tpose>SubT button, it gives me “Error number : -32 : has occured. Operation aborted”. Any idea what’s causing that, or any other way to do it?

Hmm, I would need to take a look at the project to see what is causing that error. I’ll PM you.
