Recover crashed movie time lapse video

There a way to recover a timelapse video after the program crashes? I was recording for about 2 hours and went to save it and zbrush crashed on me. There was no video file in the recover folder and when I started zbrush back up, the file I was working on was saved, but not movie data.

When zbrush is recording a timelapse, does it have a cache file somewhere with all the video information?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I’m sorry to say I don’t think there’s a way to recover the movie. Your only option would be to use the history to record a movie (if the undos are intact).

That’s a bummer. The undo history didn’t save to the recovered file either.

Maybe in the future zbrush can program a cache file that is auto saved every 5-10 seconds that can be in the windows folder. Cam studio has something similar, when you are recording the screen, if the program crashes the video file is still a cache file and you just rename it .mpg and the file is usable.

Thanks for the reply!

You won’t get the history if you select the recovered ZTL from the lightBox, but if you selet the recovered ZPR it should give you back the history
