We were looking to purchase a top-of-the-line CPU for our artist stations.
Based off this 2018 Benchmark post
And some details from pixologic,:
*ZBrush does support MultiThreading, however we have found that through many cases from users in ZBrush 2019, ZBrush performs better with small amount high clock speed cores, rather than distributed over many cores.
The consensus seems to be :
Small Amt of Cores, Fastest Speed Possible
We were looking at the i9-9900k as it carrys 5.0GHz at Turbo mode, 8 cores, with the newest architecture. Can anyone validate this choice?
Or can anyone recommend any tested, well performing CPUs?
