Re the recent cleaning up of Christos' painting thread

I would like to publicly offer my support to Aurick and suggest that the majority of people on the forum would like personal abuse to cease. And for threads to remain uncorrupted. Either by unusual comments from postees or by the thread owners themselves using it as a platform.

Having said that, rather than answer this recent post in christos’ thread and muck it up again I will answer it here.

With respect to EZ I feel that Matthew has handled the situation correctly and with tact. And I’m certain most will be relieved to see some forceful moderating.

This has also come after the posts have been removed. Therefore I feel that it is innapropriate to make this type of comment in a recently cleaned thread as it must look curious to those who missed the drama.

The correct place for comments of this sort, which are reasonable, is in the community forum where it can be discussed civilly.

Hanuman
you do Not Know Half of the Story.
this even goes Be on way past this post on some thing personal.
i can Not comment on it because i dont want my chain yanked around or my words edited or my post deleted.
this forum is pretty much one way and you can not complety say how you feal.

Mr EZ

quote:
this even goes Be on way past this post on some thing personal

This is the whole point. Threads about art are not the place for personal feuds.

I think what matthew is saying basically is that past behaviour that was tolerated will not be tolerated any longer. So we all need to draw a big line under the personal feuds and start from square one.

Z central has become quite large and out of a courtesy to all the new members all of us will have to put our grudges aside.

That is not to say that grievances cannot be aired. We even have a place for that, the community forum.

Yours and Dee Vees comments that I have quoted are fine in themselves it’s just that they were in the wrong place. The topic of Christos’ thread is backgrounds.

If you like we can discuss whatever you wish about the recent drama in a civil way right here. As long as there is no personal abuse.

Kind regards

easy Hanuman

For the record, I would like to publically state that all members are equally entitled and welcome to share their opinions.

We ask, however, that a few simple rules be followed:

 1. Keep your posts relevent to the topic at hand.

 2. Post your new topics in the appropriate forum. The ZBrush forum is for topics relating directly to the use of ZBrush and the growth of its users. The Community forum is for any other topics, whether they relate to ZBrush Central (such as this thread) or to any other topic that you please.

 3. Do not, under any circumstances, attack another member, either overtly or by insinuation. Similarly, if you see a post where someone attacks another member, we ask that you simply ignore that post until it can be dealt with. Do not throw fuel on the fire.

Please understand that there is a distinct difference between a friendly debate and a fight. Debates are healthy, and can lead to new discoveries. Fighting and flame wars, however, only serve to hurt the forum – and by extension, ZBrush itself.

These rules will be enforced in an even manner from here forward. It is my sincere hope that it will rarely be necessary to do so, however.

I hope that clears the air a little bit. Thank you, everyone, for your participation at ZBrush Central, and for your cooperation in this matter!

I’d like to add my support here: I am not worried about over-editiing of posts, because I trust and respect all of our moderators. A couple of times in the past we have had unfortunate problems which resulted in a thread being moved to this forum. Sometimes these threads had started out as informative threads with good tips or images, but then degenerated into fights. I will be much happier if instead we can keep the threads in the ZBrush forum (where they can be seen) by editing or deleting useless “fighting” posts.

So why did you change your handle “Hanuman”?..

I dont want a little red star.

PS if you wish to discuss me, as I said this is the wrong thread. Start a new one and we can talk about me all night.

regards,

easy Hanuman

Well, congrats on your almost star anyway, sir.

Hanuman Thelonious…are you well? That’s ok I don’t really think that’s necessary.
