re-centering model

Does anyone know how to re-center your model, no matter what I usually end up loosing my model in the 3d view and without a recenter or re-frame model button it is almost immpossible to find the model, this usually happens by zooming into the hand and then rotating, and poof the model rotates off and you loose it.

Thanks! -Kris

If you hold “alt” and left click in the grey area (outside of the actual editing window) the model should recenter itself within the window…

In z2 many options…

click the actual view button to your right

press space bar and click mouse/pen and move around till you find it

instead of using global to rotate etc/view when using hidden mesh option…use local to rotate…keeps visible parts visible when rotating instead of rotating the “whole (hidden/nonhidden” parts

i think there is one more but i forget what it is…oh…maybe the above reply

or oh yeah…if ya zoomed in…ya can zoom out

The easiest: press the “.” key to recenter your model.

hahahahaha dohhhhhhhhhh

sometimes it pays to be the master eh? Aurick.

Awesome I will never lose my model again, oh and if you Zoom in all the way and get stuck cause now there’s no work area to click in and zoom out, you can do all the navigation functions from the background/dark grey area as well, pretty useful

Remember to make use of the Local button. Especially useful if you should zoom in on your hand to work on that. Last edited vertice becomes the new zoom/rotate focus point.

Aurick is that Z2 feature or will that work in 1.55b?

To center your model in the viewer press F.

To move your model to the center of coordinates select the move tool, then go to Geometry/Position and put all zero values into x, y, z.

Thanx a lot, man! I’ve been struggling for a while centering object to coordinate center.

THANK YOU!!! I was so confused what was happening!!!
